Players should:
- Play hard and play for fun.
- Work hard to improve their skills and get better.
- Give their best effort in games and practices.
- Be a “team player.”
- Learn discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork, even after making an out, committing an error, losing a close game, or suffering any sort of set-back.
- Be on time for practices and games.
- Learn and play by the rules.
- Respect coaches, teammates, parents, opponents, and umpires.
- Never argue with an umpire’s decision.
- Wear their uniforms properly and proudly.
- Follow the directions of the coaching staff.
- Hustle on and off the field.
Players should not:
- Use abusive or profane language.
- Taunt or humiliate any other player.
- Question an umpire’s call.
- Question a coach’s decision or a coach’s instruction.
- Abuse, mistreat, or mishandle any equipment or property (ex: throwing batting helmets, bats, balls, etc…)
Violations of the player code of conduct will result in any or all of the following, according to the severity of the violation. If the offense is deemed to be severe enough, the warnings can be bypassed.
- First Warning:
- Verbal warning
- Second warning:
- Removal from the remaining portion of that game.
- Third warning:
- Suspension for 1 game.
- Suspension for 2 games.
- Additional warnings:
- Suspension for 1 week.
- Suspension for 2 weeks.
- Expulsion from the league.
